Moodlight Process
Moodlight is an exhibit that would be featured in MIMU, the Moving Image Museum. The exhibit focuses on the psychology of color and how that impacts various factors of film, such as the plot, the relationship between characters, the emotions, and more.
Visual Identity / Exhibition Design
My goals were to immerse the viiewers and give them a deeper understanding of the importance that color has on film. My intentions were to create a bigger connection between the thinking behind each choice the director made with the viewer.

About Color in FilmTo me, color can be expressive, but also elusive and mysterious. I felt that with the colors and typeface I used, it should reflect that sense of sophistication that it has. Color is always there, but the meaning behind them is what’s strong.
Developing the SystemThrough the process, I wanted to see how I could use different shapes to use as containers with different serif typefaces. Through iterations, I was faced with difficulties in finding the right elements to put in this exhibition, but as I took a step back and looked at the big picture, it proved that I was putting too many elements in the posters and I needed to minimize in order for the purpose of color to stand out.
Developing the SpatialI was inspired by the idea of a color wheel and viewers being able to interact with specific colors in how they wanted. Through rounds of feedback and help, I was able to create this color wheel through After Effects and projecting it on Madmapper, using Touch OSC to create the effect that the color will pop out when people touch it.
