Dream Sequence Process
The dream world is a vast and unknown realm. Where do people go when they dream? Everyone has their own dreams when they sleep and each interpret it differently. This exhibition explores the dream world and how various artists have interpreted it.
Layout Design
My goals were to immerse the viewers as if they were in their own dream state and to gain an understandning of how others have interpreted it.

My Own ExperienceWhen I grew up, I always had a curiosity of what the dreamworld was and how unlimited it felt in the way I dreamt. Throughout the process, I wanted that curiosity to lead my design thinking and be able to reflect the feelings that my younger self felt in this layout.
Initial DirectionsThe process started with several directions, using different typefaces and different grids for the layout.
Layouts in Process With the intentions of creating that boundless feeling, I decided to go with the third direction because of the capitalization of the letters and how it felt like it was going to run off the page. The blue also was used as an accent color to create dimension throughout the layouts.
Taking PicturesAs I wanted to create a feeling of boundlessness and the vast world of dreams, I used a lighted surface and put various liquids on it. With my camera, I shot photos of it, and as a photo treatment, scaled it up so that the liquids could give fluidity to the designs.
Below is an example of how it was scaled.
Using The PicturesThe pictures were used more for the front and end matter, to bring a dynamic and expressive beginning and end.
